Responsibilities and Qualifications



This position maintains the Quality System for CPS Supply Chain Department through the use of the Q-Pulse application:

  • Ensuring that CPS Corrective Action Requests are responded to and verified for timeliness, effectiveness, and adequacy
  • Ensuring CPS equipment identified as critical is maintained as required
  • Ensuring CPS supplier performance is tracked and evaluated by utilization of the Supplier Module
  • Ensuring that CPS training is documented within the system and that documentation of re-training occurs as processes are modified
  • Oversight of CPS in-process inspections and in-bound raw material inspections performed by QC  
  • Seek guidance and bring to the attention of the QA Coordinator/QRA Manager any concerns that could potentially impact product integrity and identification or concerns that may compromise regulatory requirements within CPS

  • High School Diploma required
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Two years of related experience or related medical device/pharmaceutical supply chain experience required
  • Must have the ability to become ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) within first year – Certification preferred upon hire but not required
  • Knowledge and/or experience with medical device or pharmaceutical distribution and handling practice preferred
  • Direct experience with implementation of new software applications preferred
  • Knowledge and experience with lot controlled and expiration dated product handling preferred
  • Knowledge and experience in working and advanced warehouse management system preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Demonstrated mathematical ability to count accurately when required and follow sampling methodology
  • Ability to critically evaluate, follow, and audit written instructions
  • Must be able to manage multiple, complex instructions simultaneously
  • Ability to interact with co-workers at all levels and present findings in a neutral manger, fostering continuous improvement and a collaborative environment
  • Ability to identify process flow and record deviations, potential impacts, and process improvement
  • Ability to master and maintain new application, setting up relationships and parameters for ROi use
  • Effectively practices and promotes teamwork in all duties
  • Actions are consistent with objectives and foals for the department, distribution center, and health system
  • Knowledge of procedures relative to job duties, TECSYS system, Instacount system, Lawson system, distribution center, pharmaceutical repackaging, and health system operations
  • Makes decisions based upon job knowledge and experience
  • Considers all impacted areas in decision process
  • Seeks advice where application
  • Judgment sensible and reliable
