Responsibilities and Qualifications

 

High-level Job Requirements 

  • Responsible for establishing and executing overall marketing strategy and sales for Mercy Business Integration, and executing tactics that are consistent, measurable and repeatable
  • Responsible for ensuring a positive return on investment for marketing efforts
  • Collaboratively works with Mercy Business Integration and Integrated Marketing leadership to prioritize marketing efforts that drive consumer and business-to-business growth and retention
  • Strong understanding of Integrated Marketing plans and processes, and exceptional collaboration with peers in other marketing areas
  • Responsible for establishing and overseeing marketing budgets for Business Integration (budgets come from commercial entities)
  • Accountable for driving positive return on investment for collective marketing efforts across all Business Integration
  • Responsible for tracking and measuring all Business Integration campaigns/activities, including financial and key performance outcomes; provides reports to leadership on a regular basis and as needed
  • Collaborates with Integrated Marketing leaders to ensure successful implementation of specific marketing needs, as well as alignment and prioritization of strategies and tactics
  • Ensures alignment of all marketing assets with Mercy brand (standards, reputation, experience)
  • Strong understanding of Mercy Business Integration services/businesses; understands environment and trends, business strategies, goals, customers, revenue streams and success measures
  • Develops annual marketing and communications strategy for each entity in support of defined business goals
  • Establishes measurable goals and objectives; tracks campaigns and activities against goals, and provides reports to VP and operational leaders
  • Ensures alignment of all marketing assets with Mercy brand (standards, reputation, experience)

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensures Mercy Business Integration marketing and communication needs are prioritized, realized and implemented on a timely basis
  • Reviews work with Business Integration leadership team to prioritize work and manage customer expectations
  • Supports the establishment of entity- and market-specific goals, identifying strategic priorities and determining how to best meet acquisition and awareness goals
  • Develops, implements and measures fully integrated marketing initiatives, with a distinct focus on acquisition, retention and loyalty
  • Leads the review and development of Mercy Business Integration website content, ensuring a timely and accurate representation of products and services, while supporting the overall content strategy
  • Maintains an ongoing relationship with Mercy ministry, regional and community leaders;  utilizes analytics to provide industry trends and market insights;  and interprets/presents data to drive decision making and collaboration
  • Provides reports to the leaders of Mercy Business Integration and Integrated Marketing on a regular basis and as needed
  • Partners with Human Resources on co-worker engagement and communications initiatives
  • Oversees day-to-day implementation of market-specific plans
  • Coordinates the development and oversees implementation of marketing plans, particularly in areas related to Integrated Marketing
  • Ensures alignment of Mercy Business Integration marketing strategies with Integrated Marketing and across all lines of business
  • Implements and maintains brand, culture and experience in our markets
  • Collaborates with Mercy Business Integration executives in support of Mercy’s business development work
  • Collaborates with the Mercy’s Integrated Marketing Communications team on all media relations; supports team in news making tactics
  • Leads Mercy Business Integration team in interactive work with other Integrated Marketing functional teams (Digital & Brand Experience, Communications, Business Development, Marketing Planning & Service Line Strategy, Community Relations, and Operations & CRM in support of marketing & advertising plans
  • Leads initiatives with the goal of enterprise implementation
  • Participates in leadership planning and presentations throughout the Mercy ministry, as well as with other health care providers with whom Mercy has partnerships
  • Maintains familiarity with state-of-art health care marketing through networking, professional organizations, industry literature and other methods
  • Embraces the fluidity of the health care industry and the many changes likely to occur in the coming years, acknowledging that ministry needs will require role variation for all

 

 

 Because you’re committed to excellence, you understand the importance of being properly prepared for your role at Mercy. That’s why you’ll bring to your role the right set of qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, public relations, communications or similar area of study
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in marketing and planning, business development or other leadership experience
  • Proven track record in utilizing segmentation, targeting, positioning, branding, customer strategy, product development, and/or pricing strategies
  • Minimum of five years experience in building, supervising and mentoring a team
  • Health care marketing experience preferred
