Mercy Hospital is seeking 2 BC/BE Emergency Medicine/Pediatricians to expand our pediatric ED program. We are the only provider in the Southwest Missouri region offering dedicated pediatric emergency medical care. Mercy is also a designated level 2 pediatric trauma provider for the state of Arkansas.
Mercy Children’s Hospital Springfield provides care for many subspecialty areas in pediatric medicine. Neonatal and pediatric intensive care medicine, a St. Jude’s affiliate for hematology and oncology, general surgery, neurology, neurosurgery, endocrinology, orthopedics, gastroenterology and ophthalmology are available at Mercy Children’s for pediatric patients across Southwest Missouri and Northwest Arkansas region. We have fully staffed services for the inpatient units including pediatric hospitalists and pediatric intensive care physicians that cover a 31 bed pediatric floor and a 12 bed PICU. The 46 bed NICU is also fully staffed with 5 neonatal intensive care unit physicians 3 neonatal nurse practioners that provide 24/7 coverage. Mercy also has a pediatric transport that team providing coverage to all regions of Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Kansas to transport neonatal and pediatric patients.
Mercy Hospital is also affiliated with the University of Missouri – Columbia as a clinical campus providing medical student education for 3rd and 4th year medical students. A state of the art Simulation Lab is available for education for students and staff.
