The Project Manager III serves within the Resource Optimization & Innovation (ROi) organization. The Project Manager III is accountable for participating in, leading, and directing technology implementations, process improvement and sourcing projects for ROi. The Project Manager III is able to operate independently at all levels of the organization. Project Manager III is accountable for the execution of the project plan, and budget, as well as providing dotted and/or straight-line management to the project team. The Project Manager III will address business and technical problems presented by key project stakeholders, develop risk mitigation strategies, project requirements, estimates, schedules, budgets and resource plans. Incumbent performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Working independently, the Project Manager III, will manage and coordinate various short and long term projects/programs including gathering requirements, developing scope, facilitate the development of appropriate solutions, plan/schedule meetings, generate financial estimates (as applicable), capacity and demand planning and prioritize the work based on pre-defined criteria.
Pre-Commit Projects- In coordination with the sourcing team, coordinate and document all work as it relates to pre-commit categories and live bidding events. This includes potential engagement with customers and/or suppliers.
Systems/data- Coordinate the identification, justification, design, and implementation of systems and data flow between parties within ROi
Process Improvement Projects- With the direction of sourcing and sourcing operations leadership manage projects to make sourcing and operational work more efficient and effective. Develop metrics to measure progress against improvement recommendations.
SOP Development- Work with applicable to stakeholders within sourcing and sourcing operations to develop and maintain SOPs and Standard Work.
Reporting- Responsible for maintaining status reports and project metrics. Present status updates and reports to Executive leadership and Project participants within ROi.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business or Engineering
Preferred Education: Advanced degree highly preferred
Preferred Certifications: PMI Certification
