This leadership position will be responsible for developing and implementing the business plan for the custom contracting team. This position will build and lead the team responsible for negotiating custom GPO contracts as well as member local agreements within the Medical Device, Medical Commodity, and Purchased Services categories to support ROi and our members.
A key focus of this position is to develop optimal business strategies, while collaborating within other ROi departments and service areas, which will improve ROi member’s cost position and reduce uncontrolled variation. Additionally this position will focus on developing new innovative sourcing and negotiation strategies by developing and leveraging ROi’s technology and data platforms.
The Director will have direct P&L responsibility for the areas of focus as described. The Director reports to the Vice President of Group Purchasing and is a member of the GPOs Senior Management Team. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, standards.

o A strong desire to redefine the economic model of the healthcare supply chain.

o Superior communication skills, both verbal and written.
o Superior analytical and interpersonal skills, with ability to deal with all levels of co-workers, providing leadership, influence, and problem resolution.
o Ability to work effectively in team environment.
o Proficiency with business software tools including Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
o Demonstrated ability to drive change in an organization via credible influence and not direct control of operations.
