Work collaboratively with local customers across all of Mercy Health, the Consolidated Services Center, the Unified Supply Chain, Content Services, Integrated Sourcing Solutions and Customer Service to research and source the appropriate products to meet customer, clinician and patient order needs while strongly supporting and facilitating contract compliance and product standardization initiatives. Ensure that purchase orders are processed within specified and expected time frames. Responsible for promptly alerting and collaborating with Content Services and Contract Analyst to ensure ROi contract price lists and item file discrepancies are addressed appropriately. Manage the day to day vendor relationship with the vendor community. Is the first point of contact for training and questions by teammates. Will manage the daily workload in their area to enable the team to meet standards. Actively promote a servant's heart among their team and all Supply Chain Division personnel. The PSS will perform all work with accord to the mission, vision, values and ROi and Mercy Service Standards.
Product Research, Sourcing and Order Processing
1.Research and source customer product inquiries and purchase requisitions
2.Maximize the use of all available resource tools for product sourcing including the Lawson Item File, SciQuest, Bravo, Nuvia, prime vendor sources, vendor catalogs, websites and publications.
3.Keeps current and familiar with active and inactive contracts and contract modifications
4.Recommend best practice purchase order processes to customers
5.Facilitate the building of Standing and Service purchase orders for customer departments.
6.Manage the daily inventory replenishment orders for the Consolidated Service Center.
7.Research and source new items and facilitate new item builds for the ROi Custom Pack Operations.
8.Ensure customer requisitions are processed within specified and expected time frames.
Customer and Vendor Relations
1.Notify, encourage and educate customer departments to use available standard and contract items and vendors
2.Recommend appropriate new vendor sources, new item adds and future contracting opportunities
In collaboration with Mercy Accounts Payable, ensure the use of OIG approved vendors
4.Facilitate new vendor adds in the ROi/Mercy ERP system
5.Address vendor issues and facilitate communications with the vendor community on behalf of ROi and Mercy customers and operations.
6.Be available to answer Customer and Customer Service questions regarding product sources and options
Discontinued Item Process
1.Research and verify all Discontinued Item notifications received from confirmations, vendors and customers.
2.Research and source vendors to find recommended sub information.
3.Run usage reports to identify high use customers
4.Promptly notify all effected customers, material management staff and contract manager and recommended subs and replacements.
5.Work with Content Services to ensure the Master Item File is appropriately updated.
6.Maintain the Discontinued Item Spreadsheet.
7.Promptly issue customer notifications regarding discontinued items and available sub information.
