Adheres to the signed contractual agreement delineating assessment and treatment protocol between the Medical Director and Advanced Nurse Practitioner. Performs scope of practice within the guidelines of Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services.
Keeps apprised of changing treatment modalities and professional trends. Has considerable knowledge of the advanced nursing principles and practices. Adheres to quality standards in the treatment of all patients.
Adheres to universal precaution protocol.
Makes legible medical record documentation and maintains records in neat and orderly
Maintains an orderly, neat, and sanitary working environment.
Maintains confidentiality of patients, employees, and clinic at all times.
Utilizes resources in a cost-effective manner.
Has the ability to maintain and operate basic lab equipment.
Completes tsheets, charge tickets, dictation, etc. on each patient in a timely manner.
Collaborates with peers and multidisciplinary agencies to provide comprehensive
Plans and carries out medical protocol and works effectively with other disciplines.
Maintains a timely flow of patients and ensures preferences are given to patients in
Adequately assesses and reassesses pain.
Utilizes appropriate pain management techniques.
Educates patient and family regarding pain management.
Because you’re committed to excellence, you understand the importance of being properly prepared for your role at Mercy. That’s why you’ll bring to your role the right set of qualifications:
Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with appropriate nursing practitioners credentials and current license to practice in the State of Arkansas. National Certification and certificate for prescriptive authority are required.
Licensure: Must have appropriate nursing practitioners credentials and current license to practice in the State of Arkansas. National Certification and certificate for prescriptive authority are required.
Certifications: BLS required
Preferred Experience: Five plus years experience as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner is preferred
