To maintain Lamar Bruni Vergara Education Center and the Recreation Park clean and in good condition to function.
Performs cleaning duties in all areas of the Education Center including classrooms, offices, restrooms, closets, reception area, hallways, common areas, front outside area; as well as the Recreation Park areas including restrooms, green areas, and the little storage room.
Launders/Washes linens and/or irons when needed.
Cleans office furniture, walls, windows and floors.
Moves furniture and other items and assists in the preparation of multiple meetings, classes and events.
Picks up and disposes all trash in a proper manner including regular, infectious and hazardous waste throughout the Education Center and/or Recreation Park.
Inspects buildings for clenliness, completed works and needed repairs and reports any deficiencies to the apAdministrative services Coordinator or Education center Administrator.
Stocks and maintains supply of hand soap, hand towels, paper towels, toilet paper and air deoderizer for different areas.
Assisits in maintaining inventory records of building property, custodial equipment, material and supplies(for cleaning) and equipment.
Uses proper cleaning techniques including wearing gloves while cleaning, mixing and using cleaning and chemicals in a safe manner following the correct dilution, and posting wet floors signs when mopping area.
Maintains close communication with staff members, Education Center Administrator and Executive Director when appropriate.
Assists donation program in receiving, sorting, and attending to client needs in regards to donations.
Serves as receptionist when needed including answering phones, receiving visitors, taking messages, and giving tours.
Represents Casa de Misericordia and Lamar Bruni Vergara Education Center at different events in the community when needed
Performs any duties as assigned by the Executive Director and Education Center Administrator.

Preferred Education: High school diploma
Other: Ability to communicate effectively with staff members and clients. Ability to read labels and differentiate smells and colors. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Ability to climb ladders. Ability to work extended hours as needed. Ability to operate general household cleaning appliances.
