    Responsibilities and Qualifications

    The Vice President-Peri-Op Services serves as the Administrative Executive for the identified areas and Service Lines to develop and enforce policies and procedures, to operationalize budgetary decisions for areas of responsibility and participate in  strategic planning for the Hospital. Key areas of responsibilities will include both the hospital and ambulatory setting.

     

    Because you’re committed to excellence, you understand the importance of being properly prepared for your role at Mercy. That’s why you’ll bring to your role the right set of qualifications:

     

    • Masters Degree in business or health- related field.
    • Three to five years of previous experience in a leadership and management role at the Director or VP level. 
    • Capable of working cooperatively with other executive officers, physicians, and staff members.
    • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally with diverse groups.
    • Upholds and role models behaviors of professionalism.  Remains knowledgeable in advances in the healthcare environment through continuing education in areas of responsibilities.
    • Is active in community/professional organizations.
