    Responsibilities and Qualifications

    Lead the Mercy Springfield Community Pharmacy Enterprise including 800+ bed main acute care hospital, Children’s Hospital, Heart Hospital, Orthopedic Hospital, Rehabilitation Hospital and Ambulatory Clinics.  Provide strategic vision and leadership for operational efficiency, clinical excellence, fiscal stewardship and regulatory readiness.  Successful leader will have demonstrated skill in communicating in a matrix reporting structure including local leadership and system administration.  This leader serves as Pharmacist-In-Charge and provides supervision to an emerging team of pharmacy department leaders.  Teaching & precepting responsibilities with the schools of pharmacy and ASHP Accredited Pharmacy Practice Residency. 



    Because you’re committed to excellence, you understand the importance of being properly prepared for your role at Mercy. That’s why you’ll bring to your role the right set of qualifications:


    •  Education: Requires a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from an accredited university.
    • Licensure: Must possess a valid Missouri Pharmacist license.
    • Experience: Five plus years of hospital pharmacy experience, including a minimum of two years of management experience is required.
    • Preferred Education: An advanced degree with residency is preferred.


    • Preferred Experience: Additional community/retail pharmacy experience is desired.
