    Responsibilities and Qualifications

    The Medical Device Specialist II is responsible for establishing; maintaining and enhancing the medical device implant service & solutions business. The Medical Device Specialist II will accomplish this through developing credibility and relationships with physicians, clinical leaders, materials management and the operating room staff by providing expert knowledge of anatomy, surgery, application and proper use of implant products, and engineering and design of said products, as well as sales and the management functions of the process. The Medical Device Specialist II will have a thorough understanding of the operational process of the vertically integrated implant distribution model, as well as a thorough understanding of the implant contracts in the medical devices portfolio. The Medical Device Specialist II will work directly with the Group Purchasing contract manager to identify new opportunities for growth and clinical enhancement to integrated products.

     

    Qualifications:

    Because you’re committed to excellence, you understand the importance of being properly prepared for your role at Mercy. That’s why you’ll bring to your role the right set of qualifications:

    • Education: Bachelors or 5 years operating room tech experience or 4 years medical sales experience

    • Other:

      • Must have excellent knowledge of supply chain, implant processing and
      • Must have excellent knowledge of Spine Implant design, engineering, manufacturing and sales
      • Outstanding verbal and written communication
      • Strong computer skills including applications such as excel, word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and our TECSYS, Lawson and Epic information systems
      • Self-starter with strong time management skills
      • Excellent interpersonal skills
      • Practical clinical experience in an operating room for procedures
      • Proven ability to provide outstanding customer service and consultation
